About PromptSaver
PromptSaver, sometimes written Prompt Saver, is a prompt optimizer for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Paste a prompt before you send it and PromptSaver shows what it will cost, rewrites it so it's clearer and shorter, and names the best-fitting model at each AI company.
Why it exists
AI companies charge by the token, and chat plans ration messages. Most prompts waste both: filler and repeated context on the way in, answers with no length limit on the way out, and expensive models doing jobs a small one would handle just as well. A clearer prompt fixes all three, and usually gets a better answer on the first try.
What PromptSaver does
- Rewrites your prompt. It keeps everything you asked for, cuts what the AI doesn't need, and adds the format and length you want back.
- Shows the cost. Every estimate uses each company's published pay-per-use prices, last checked October 30, 2026.
- Names the right model. It sorts the task into one of four levels and names the cheapest model at Anthropic, OpenAI and Google that handles that level well.
- Gives away the basics. The token counter, AI cost calculator, daily AI price list, prompt library and guides are free, with no account needed.
How we keep it honest
- Your prompts aren't stored. A prompt is sent to our AI provider only to do the rewrite. We keep counts (tokens, task level, estimated costs) so you can see your savings. See the privacy policy.
- No paid placement. Model advice covers Anthropic, OpenAI and Google equally, and no company pays to be recommended.
- Sources for every number. Prices come from each company's pricing page. Energy and water figures come from published measurements, and every guide lists its sources.
- What runs it. PromptSaver uses Claude Haiku 5.5 for everyday rewrites and Claude Sonnet 5.5 for Pro's deep optimize.
